A year ago, my parents drove down to Kingsville to go to my first pregnancy appt with me.
As I reflect on the last year, and how insane it has been, I remember the two things I prayed for daily all last year while in Kingsville, and when I got back to Dallas.
1. A healthy baby
2. A different/better job for Mike
Amazingly, God graciously gave me what I asked for in both situations - Allie is wonderful, healthy, and adorable, and Mike has a wonderful job that he loves. While he was a wonderful teacher and hard worker in Dallas, it is so wonderful to see him get to use all of his talents, and be appreciated on top of that.
So thank you God, for giving us such an amazing and wonderful daughter, and for providing a better situation for Mike.
I have a few other prayer requests these days - God, you know what they are. I am hoping and trusting that you will help me with these.
I know that there are those of you who have prayer requests going out to God for various concerns and desires in your lives. I am praying for and with you - and I am trusting that no matter what happens, God will bring about the best for you and yours.
Much Love,
Sarah

Trials
Today is one of those ugh kinda days.
Nothing major - just your normal mom stuff.
I did manage to snap a cute shot of Allie between crying sessions.
All I really have to say can be summed up in the following scripture:
Matthew 11:28
"Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
I hope so God...cause emotionally, I'm worn out.

Persevere
Hi friends and family -
I post this with the plan to restart my blogging - and to get away from facebook for a while, and yet still post photos of our beautiful and healthy and amazing daughter God blessed us with.
Life has been very overwhelming, and yet I know I need to keep pushing, keep working, keep praying, and keep hoping for all the things I want for myself, for our daughter and our family.
I am hoping to get positive feedback on some of my writing; I am hoping that I feel competent when I help out with moppets tomorrow morning, and I hope that I can contribute to the Stephen's ministry meeting in a productive way on Tuesday.
I also hope that God provides me with some confidence in what I do and in what I love to do soon - lately I feel so inadequate and inept in so many ways.
I hope you have a great start to your week.
Love,
Sarah Mac

blessings
Each day offers an opportunity to choose to be grateful, or to allow the world to overwhelm me with its choices and frustrations.
Today, I am grateful that:
1. We have an apartment to move into.
2. I have a job.
3. I have friends who I don't see enough but are amazing all the time.
4. I have an intelligent and hard working husband.
Wishing everyone a great weekend!

a little bit of me.
I am fortunate to have many different kind of people in my life.
Different backgrounds, different ideas, and beliefs, AND different personalities.
I am very grateful for these different perspectives.
As for myself, I think...that I am not a very strong willed person - meaning that I don't superimpose, or I try NOT to superimpose my opinions on others. I suppose I do sometimes, but I'm just not gonna be the girl who talks over people, or honestly, even voices my opinion at all for the most part.
Now...sometimes...I feel a bit overwhelmed by both the strong willed and loud-voice/strongly opinionated people in my life. There are a lot of them. And some of them like to tell me I just gotta get in there, and make my voice heard.
But ya know - I don't really think this is the case for the most part. I think it is ok for me to just keep quiet, and observe.
I also realize, that lately, it seems that I let others intimidate me into doing things I wouldn't normally do...just because they are so opinionated or strong willed.
Well, it's time I start doing things my own way again. Not loudly, or in an obnoxious way, but just in my own way.
After all, I do pretty well with life.
Happy *almost* Friday!

personal goals - go get 'em.
I want to teach at a university.
I want to have a permanent home and a family.
I want to research film music, and I would like to write a text book some day.
Life is crazy and intense and overwhelming.
Every day brings tons of things to keep us from achieving our dreams and accomplishing what we really want to accomplish.
Well, I can either sit back and let the little things keep me down/distract me from productivity, or I can embrace everything each day brings, while purposefully moving forward towards what I want, and enjoying today.
Happy Friday all.

Choosing joy
Grateful for my husband who makes me laugh, gives the best hugs, and puts a smile on my face.
Grateful for friends who listen and love and accept me just as I am.
Grateful for family, who always make time to listen, help or hang out, even if is just on the phone.
Grateful for my passion for teaching, film music, and musical expectation, regardless of other's opinions.
Hope everyone has a great week!
